Keralites celebrated Onam;  Ambassador hosted Onam reception

The Keralites in Kuwait celebrated the festival of Onam in Kuwait. Although big celebrations were missing due to the Covid restrictions, many families prepared beautiful floral carpets and 'Onasadya' at their apartments.

On the occasion of Onam, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Shri Sibi George hosted a traditional Onam lunch for the Ambassadors of other countries in Kuwait at India House.

Showcasing India's rich and vibrant cultural diversity, Ambassador Sibi George and madam Joice Sibi welcomed the ambassadors of various countries in their traditional style.

Ambassadors of several countries attended the event. Shri Sibi George welcomed them with traditional Indian style with 'Ponnada' (shawl).

A traditional 'Pookalam' floral carpet was arranged at India house to welcome the guests. The Onam lunch hosted by Indian Ambassador showcased the rich tradition and culture of India.

On Sunday, August 22, as part of Onam celebrations Embassy will share sweets and traditional 'payasam' with all visitors at the Embassy, all visitors at passport centers and at the shelter.

Indian Embassy is also celebrating Onam on Sunday August 22nd with all Indian national on a virtual platform at 6:00 pm. All Indians are invited to join the event virtually at Embassy social media handlers.

Its good to see the Embassy of India is celebrating and inviting Ambassadors of other countries.....this will surely increase the image of India......Kudos!!!

Meanwhile, it will be even better if celebrations of other States are also considered and conducted.... many celebrations of other states are not even put in the news and hardly any importance is given by the Embassy......
