India and Kuwait on Tuesday, co-chaired the 7th Joint Working Group (JWG) on Hydrocarbons. India's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Joint Secretary (IC) Ms. Esha Srivastava and Mr. Khaled Al-Deyain, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs Ministry of Oil, Kuwait coordinated the JWG in which both sides reviewed bilateral cooperation across the entire value chain of oil & gas, petrochemicals, strategic reserves, and low-carbon solutions, including Green Hydrogen, Biofuels, and renewable energy.
Both sides expressed interest in holding annual discussions on the side lines of India's flagship energy event,
India Energy Week, which is planned to be held in February 2025. Kuwait also conveyed its intent to explore membership in the Global Biofuels Alliance, a key initiative under India's G20 presidency.
