Impact of lockdown on our lives

Impact of lockdown on our lives

Lately, we all were satisfied with our life. And then came coronavirus whirling in our lives which became gruesome to our minds as we see people dying because of the fatal virus rampaging in our world. Ruefully to save our lives, government had declared lockdown everywhere in Kuwait and also in other countries besides these. Since we have the fear of being affected, we all are pricked inside our doors, yet at the same time, we feel an eerie sense of peace from the busy civilization we breathed earlier.

Countless children, adults and aged people are having a dreadful fate after being affected by virus. Night-over-night doctors and nurses are trying their best to annihilate the virus as well controlling their longing affection for reuniting with their families. The sick are becoming sicker and the world is in war with the virus. Due to lockdown, many people are also facing financial crises, because of which they end up sleeping hungry and being homeless. We are fortune enough for living a good life during lockdown yet we want beyond that (this is human’s nature).

Luckier than millions, we are at home quiet safe and sound. Thus, lockdown can be specified as a boon at the same as a bane. In my opinion, it can be taken as a boon. During lockdown period, most of our yearnings come true. You see, firstly, we wished for schools to be closed and that is what happened (but online classes has bought an anticlimax). Secondly, we awaited to spend more time with our family members and that too came true. Earlier, we used to complain for shortage of time, but now lockdown has given us tons of time. So, don’t you think it is time to discover our talents, potentials and for the most part explore ourselves? As long as we don’t complain and use time wisely, we can find the purpose we are born into this world with the help of time. Therefore, lockdown in the name of countless seconds can bring out the best in us. So, shouldn’t we be using our precious time in mastering our skills, discovering our hobbies and make out the best from us? I leave the decision up to you.

Basically, it is now time to use our time productively without wasting a single minute, to make the best insurance policy for tomorrow. I would like to conclude by penning down a motivating quote which kept me enduring my goals during lockdown.

“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” – Stephen Covey
