IKEA investigating cyber attacks on outlets in Kuwait, Morocco

Swedish furniture giant IKEA confirmed that its franchises in Kuwait and Morocco are dealing with a cyber attack that caused a disturbance on some operating systems.

"On Saturday 19 November 2022 IKEA Kuwait and IKEA Morocco faced a cyber-attack causing disturbances on some operating systems. the attack is being investigated together with the relevant authorities as well as a our cyber security partners. IKEA Kuwait and IKEA Morocco are independently operated by a franchisee based in Kuwait. The operations and customer meeting points are independent from any other IKEA retailers," IKEA announced.

IKEA has more than 400 stores across about 50 countries.
