IFl team meets  Indian Ambassador H.E. Sibi George

A delegation of volunteers and members of the Indian Front Liners paid a courtesy call on His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Sri Shibi George.

In the hour long interaction, the Ambassador stressed the importance of the socio-cultural and humanitarian role played by organizations like IFL in promoting the wellbeing of Indian expatriates in Kuwait.

H.E. was kind enough to listen to and discuss on various community issues. He welcomed suggestions and solutions and encourages open discussion for the benefit of our community.

He welcomes our community to take advantage of the open-house sessions being arranged by the Embassy every Wednesday.

H.E. emphasized the need for Indians to honor all local laws and traditions especially in this pandemic situation ensure continued friendly relations between our two great nations.

He empathized with those Indians stuck away from home due to the travel restrictions by recounting his own family experience.

It was a rewarding interaction and H.E. has promised full support for humanitarian efforts in the current scenario.

The delegation comprised Mr .MohanDoss, Mr Assad khan, Mr. Shibu,Mr. Durairaj,Mr. R.Ramesh,Mr. Alavudeen, Ms. Vijayapriya & Ms.Madulika.

IFLs long time patron Asad Khan raised the issue of workers who had list their jobs and how IFL can work more close with the Embassy on relief work.

Mohandoss- the founder of IFL, briefed the Ambassador on the extensive charitable work being carried out by IFL volunteers especially in Amnesty time and in distributing provisions to those impacted by the Covid pandemic.

VijayPriya raised the issue of maids who had been impacted by the Covid crisis and the need for having Indian schools support children with special needs.

H.E. requested IFl editorial member Madhulika to share any studies conducted by EY on expatriates in Kuwait.

The meeting concluded with presenting a welcome shawl to the Ambassador who reaffirmed his support and appreciation of the good causes espoused by IFL.
