Hon. Chairman of ICSK board of Trustee Shaik Abdul Rahiman and Hon. Vice Chairman Vinukumar Nair were also present.

"The school tried to arouse the feeling of compassion in the students towards the numerous relentless efforts to rebuild the state which was hit by the worst floods in a century, through videos which depicted the pathetic condition of the people, as almost 50% of the student community did not belong to Kerala", Dr Binumon said during the press briefing.

The students also shared their experiences in generating the feeling of empathy and social commitment among the students through this charity programme which instills the feeling of compassion and has succeeded in increasing their awareness and responsibility to the community around them and the world at large.

The Chief Minister Sri Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his delight as this is the largest amount of money contributed by any school till now. Chief Minister also acknowledged that the students from ICSK are the first ones among the schools from the Gulf Region to donate and visit the Chief Minister to personally hand over their contribution to him for this noble cause. He appreciated and recognized the school for its generous gesture by issuing a letter of appreciation. Students also presented him with a ship shaped memento, symbolizing Kuwait, to show appreciation and gratitude for the initiative taken, with a vision to help the people of Kerala.

The students also held an interaction with Kerala Minister for Public Works Department Shri. G. Sudhakaran who has taken the initiative and was in the forefront of the rescue operations in Kerala during the time of floods. He is actively involved in the rehabilitation process that is still going in the state.

The students also shared their experience in their interaction with the district collector of Thiruivananthapuram, the capital of the state, Dr. K. Vasuki IAS who through her inspirational speech and dynamic leadership motivated thousands to extend their help and support for the rescue operations in the state of Kerala. "It was really an inspiration for us to interact with the collector," students said.

The illiterate people opened 40 dams and destroyed the state (unheard of in world history) and now all this talk of relief to poor will go to their party causes..... The ordinary person who lost.... lost.....Making fools of the NRI again.

As an ICSK parent, I am proud that my children also contributed towards that contribution to the Prime Minister''s fund. The amount donated by the students individually may not have been huge. But as drops of water make the ocean, many small amounts from the caring students contributed to that sum of 21 lakhs! Publicity given to such a donation helps us to understand what it means to be part of a sharing community and helps inculcate the right values of charity and compassion for others in our children. Well done Dr.Binumon! Well done ICSk!

ICSK has done a right thing by contributing to legally set up fund by Kerala Government. Bhavanite boasting that their guy went and personally built houses is a family style of running business. The facts of such distribution known only that gentleman. ICSK handing over the check through its students will inprint in their mind and improve their empathetic feelings. The above article also state that the students interviewed young IAS officer in Trivandrum which will inspire them to do well in future. Now let readers decide. Bhavanite, charging double fee from the innocent parents for the same CBSE syllabus or ICSK charging humble fee and giving better quality, which is better?

Dear Students , really appreciate your efforts and support but please note the fact that this money will not reach the poor. Million Rs have been collected in the name of relief fund, who received no one is there anyone to question these. Minister level people did not suffer local residents suffered for food etc.. using this money in the name to rebuilt Kerala? These politicians only can play with peoples sentimental so please people if you really need to help the suffering collect the money and donate by your own hands to the needy people this will really help in rebuilding Kerala.

These activities mostly are intended for publicity and advertisement and photo clicks. Everyone knows how corrupt the ministers are. In Kuwait everyone knows it was the fishermen who apart from the military personnel involved in rescue operations and we also saw the TV footage of ministers sleeping or reading news papers in the helicopter while taking the aerial survey over the flood hit districts. So ICSK funds are only for the 2019 election campaign of the CMs party and other foreign trip expenses. Yes, they get mileage out here but the blessings of the poor soul will go to schools like Bhavans where the Chairman travels to Kerala and meet the needy and feed them personally not taking photos for the media as that is not the intention of charity. Let these thoughts awaken educated illiterates and avoid feeding the politicians of our country.

Kerala was planning to send 18 ministers to 18 countries spending crores of rupee from public''s money. Thank god Center didnt gave permission for this. Look at here, people who really wanted to contribute are going towards the government and spending while the government wants to spend those money for their foreign trip!

Good work ICSK!

Yes, Bhavanite you can be truly proud because the CMs and PMs fund never reaches the right people. During the Kerala flood relief operations, there were news that people at the distribution center sold the rice bags, sugar bags and milk tins at a premium and made lot of money. With election coming up this amount given to CMs fund will be well utilized and thats why Kerala CM when asked about the money collected from Keralites through salary said he has no idea about the accounts of that!! Now ICSK can treasure this photo with the CM who may be there or may not be there in 2019 but this photo will be there in the Kuwait school as memory but the poor kids contribution is "gone with the wind". Well done Ram as you always have a vision when it comes to such events and you have a great team at Bhavans. Blessed are your kids.

@ Mohammed SS, this is where Bhavans School is a different brand school in Kuwait. ICSK with all the four branches collected 21 lac and here is Bhavans Kuwait one school collected 18 lac rupees and the Chairman Mr. Ramachandran took the cash and he and his family members supervised the rebuilding of schools, and donated money to the needy and poor directly and not give it to the CM who has no account of where the money is going. As a Bhavanite, all are blessed as the cash has gone to safe hands and the school kids and their families are decently settled. For the 3 tons of goods that kids packed and forwarded, school received a letter of commendation of from the district collector.
Proud Bhavanite
