IBPC Kuwait Hosts 7th Meritorious Award Ceremony to Honor Outstanding Indian Students

The Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) Kuwait successfully hosted the 7th Meritorious Award Ceremony, celebrating the exceptional academic achievements of Indian students in Kuwait. The event, held in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Adarsh Swaika, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, was attended by senior Embassy officials, school principals, teachers, parents, students, and IBPC members.

The ceremony was expertly hosted by a number of young students Master of Ceremony from various Indian schools, reflecting the enthusiasm and brilliance of the student community. A total of 141 students who scored 96% and above in their Class X and Class XII board examinations (2024) were honored for their academic excellence.

Additionally, the Best Performing School Awards were presented to:

•Indian Educational School (Bhavans Kuwait) – Best Performing School for Class X

•Indian Community School Kuwait – Best Performing School for Class XII

In his keynote address, IBPC Chairman CA Kaizar T. Shakir delivered a powerful and motivating speech, urging students to embrace perseverance, continuous learning, and ethical values as the true drivers of success. He emphasized that while academic excellence is a great milestone, character and resilience are what truly shape future leaders.

His Excellency Dr. Adarsh Swaika congratulated the awardees and praised their dedication, highlighting the importance of education in strengthening the India-Kuwait relationship and contributing to a brighter future.

The event was formally opened by Hon. Joint Secretary Mr. Sunit Arora, who welcomed the esteemed guests, and later delivered the Vote of Thanks, appreciating all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the ceremony. He was the man behind the event’s seamless execution.

The program was efficiently coordinated and supported by the IBPC Executive Committee: Hon. Vice Chairman Mr. Gaurav Oberoi, a strong advocate for progressive initiatives, played a pivotal role in organizing the event. Hon. Secretary Mr. Suresh K.P., known for his strategic planning and leadership, ensured smooth execution. Hon. Treasurer Mr. Krish Suryakant, with his financial expertise, helped manage the event’s logistics and sponsorships.

IBPC extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participating schools, parents, and students. A special thanks to our sponsors – City Centre, Caesars Restaurant, Al Mailem Co., and Kuwait Swedish Co. – for their invaluable support, and to our partners, the IIT/IIM Alumni Association, for their continued collaboration in fostering academic excellence.

IBPC Kuwait remains committed to engaging, encouraging, and empowering Indian professionals, businesses, and students in Kuwait, further strengthening the Indo-Kuwait bond in education, trade, and cultural exchange.
