How can you spend your leisure time effectively?

In this situation of Covid-19, we all are cooped inside our cosy nests and we are confused of what we should do to keep ourselves calm and comfortable. Well friends, no worries! I have come right here to give some tips to fight boredom and anxiety.

In the age of social media and technology, we all are obsessed with phones laptops tabs playing games to make the time go fast, I have some ideas which will surely help you to overcome anxiety and boredom. Instead of gluing your precious eyes into gadget screens to fight boredom, there are many other ways to spend your leisure time effectively.

Reading a lot of Books

Reading books are another most common way to fight boredom (I didn’t mean you all should be a bookworm). It will help us to put our thinking caps on, will give us more knowledge to stimulate our brain, make us create innovative ideas, also to enrich the vocabulary and correct spelling errors and pronunciation errors we usually make in our day to day life. Apparently, the practice of reading books creates cognitive engagement that improves lots of things, including vocabulary, thinking skills, and concentration. It also can affect empathy, social perception, and emotional intelligence, the sum of which helps people stay on the planet longer.

Doing exercises and yoga

Doing yoga can give you a peace of mind, remove negativity, help you to remove stress and get a good health. Yoga helps you to breathe better Just the ability to breathe more fully and deeply can have a very profound impact on overall health, and is worth practicing every day. You might not have the postures with you for your whole life, but you have your breath in every moment.

Doing exercise daily will improve flexibility of the body and the strengthening of muscles and bones. It will stimulate your mental health, improve blood circulation and will give a freshness of mind by reducing stress. You will also have an increase amount of energy and vitality. Exercising also helps in maintaining a balanced metabolism and weight reduction.

Playing a lot of indoor games

Playing a lot of indoor games are said to fight boredom at this situation. Games like chess, caroms and ludo are said to increase coordination sportsman’s spirit and concentration.Here are some advantages of playing games.

Physical Fitness

Regularly playing indoor games such as ping pong helps your kids improve their body fitness since these games incorporate a variety of body movements. Also, experts state that regularly engaging in indoor games such as table tennis helps in developing fast-twitch muscles which can ultimately improve your kid’s reflexes.

Encourages Creativity

During the time spent in indoor games, Kids also learn to be more curious and expressive. Indoor games also help them learn new things from one another..

Hand-eye Coordination

Playing indoor games such as table tennis or ping pong needs constant coordination between your hands and eyes. This reason is why playing these indoor games on a regular basis improves hand-eye coordination.

Finally spending time in your hobbies

You can always do your hobbies to not feel bored and stressed. Drawing a picture, learning a song, writing poems and articles , choreographing a dance , trying to do mono act and so on may make you very happy and joyful plus it makes you get engaged without making you think that you are not wasting your precious time and have a bad day.

At this point I can conclude by saying the time we have got, especially this long vacation can be spend effectively by doing our hobbies, reading books and doing physical activities. Let’s together break the chain and stay safe by consuming vitamin rich food to increase immunity and stay free from diseases. Have a fun day!!!
