Kuwait is set for a hot and dusty weekend, according to the Meteorology Department. Daytime weather will be extremely hot and dusty, while nights will remain warm to hot. Although there will be a slight drop in temperatures compared to last week, maximum temperatures are expected to reach 44–46°C on Friday and up to 47°C on Saturday. Minimum night temperatures will stay between 30–33°C throughout the weekend.
The weather is being influenced by the Indian monsoon depression, which is bringing in a hot, dry air mass and strong northwesterly winds. Wind speeds could exceed 60 km/h, especially on Thursday, leading to dust storms that reduce visibility to less than 1,000 meters in some areas. Sea conditions will also be rough, with waves rising up to 7 feet at times. Conditions may improve slightly at night, but coastal areas could still see active winds and dusty skies. Those planning to go outdoors or travel should take precautions due to poor visibility, dust, and high heat.
