Under the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Residency Affairs Investigation Department arrested a gang of Syrian nationals engaged in the residency trade.
According to report, the gang involved in trading in residency permits by establishing fictitious companies that do not exist on the ground, through forgery and tampering with documents.
With this fictitious companies, the gang brought hundreds of workers to the country in exchange for sums of money, intending to make illegal profits. Prices ranged from 500 dinars for internal transfer and 2000 dinars for recruitment from abroad per worker.
The Residency Affairs Investigations officers were able to arrest everyone who was involved in this deal, and all necessary legal measures were taken against them and referred them to the competent authority.
