Fire at labour camp in Mangaf; 4 people died and several injured

A massive fire broke out at a labour camp in Mangaf area. Ministry of Health confirmed that four people died in the incident and several others injured.

According to reports, 43 laborers suffered injuries and are admitted to various hospitals. As of now, 21 cases are admitted to Al-Adan Hospital, 6 cases in Al-Farwaniyah Hospital, one case in Al-Amiri, 11 cases in Mubarak Hospital, and 4 cases in Jaber Hospital.

The Ministry of Health informed that it had instructed all medical team to make necessary efforts to treat the injured with immediate and intensive care.

Health Ministry is closely following the condition of the injured, and is coordinating with the relevant hospitals and authorities in the country to provide all necessary needs and to ensure the provision of the best treatment services. The Ministry also formed specialized medical teams to follow up on the cases of the injured.

The fire incident happened in a labour camp in Mangaf. Majority of the workers staying here are Indians.
