
The Chief of the Kuwait Fire Force, Major General Talal Al-Roumi, accompanied by Acting Deputy Chief of the Fire Control Sector, Brigadier General Omar Abdulaziz Hamad, conducted an inspection visit to the Al-Shadadiya Center for Hazardous Materials and the Search and Rescue Center on Friday evening. The visit aimed to review operational readiness, assess procedures for handling high-risk incidents, and evaluate the progress of ongoing work.
During the field tour, Major General Al-Roumi received a detailed briefing from the center's management on protocols for dealing with chemical and biological hazards, including preventive and security measures. He also reviewed the training strategies in place to enhance the technical efficiency of specialized personnel.
At the Search and Rescue Center, Al-Roumi was briefed on operational mechanisms, emergency response plans, and the latest technologies and equipment used in hazardous materials handling and rescue operations.
Praising the advanced level of equipment and the professionalism of the human resources at both centers, Al-Roumi highlighted the need for continuous development and modernization. He emphasized that such efforts are essential to strengthen the General Fire Force's capabilities in protecting lives and addressing evolving emergency challenges effectively.
