Exploring Worlds Beyond Our Limits

Exploring Worlds Beyond Our Limits

Many of us have lots of dreams and ambitions in our life. One of my main goals in life is to become an astrophysicist, that is, a scientist who studies about space. The reason why I would want to opt for this is because I feel that we humans must give an equal importance to space as we do to other things like discovering new medicines to treat cancer, inventing new vaccines and so on. Also, when we explore the vast dimensions of space and discover new things we experience great enthusiasm and eagerness. I also feel that exploring space helps to lift us beyond our limits and helps us to start thinking outside the box. That is why I find space quite interesting. But many people in this world feel that spending money on going to outer space is a complete waste and that our government should spend public money on something that is more useful to our society. So, is spending money for space exploration useful?

In my opinion I think that space exploration is quite useful to us and it has many advantages that we may not recognize. Firstly, space exploration helps us to track down asteroids that may be harmful to the earth and could cause immense damage to life and property. Since there are many huge asteroids in space there could also be a minute chance that these large asteroids may strike the earth. This could lead to the extinction of the human races. But scientists studying about space can help to prevent this type of destruction to our earth through new inventions made by them that can help to destroy these harmful asteroids before entering the earth’s atmosphere and save the earth from extinction.

Secondly, the various planets, asteroids and natural satellites in space provide raw materials to us that are minutely available on earth. Many mining excavations are also done in space. This helps us to get raw materials without wasting the supply of these materials on earth and reducing their deposits. Now we may think that it is quite hard to access these asteroids and other mineral rich places in space and to derive minerals from them, but we do not need to worry much about this. This is because earth’s own natural satellite, the moon serves as a ground for rich mineral deposits that can be easily accessed.

Thirdly, the population on the earth has substantially been increasing over the past few years. The earth can only support at least 8 billion to 16 billion people and the population on earth is already 7 billion people. Due to this, in time, the earth would not have enough space for everybody to live on. So, a new planet which is suitable for humans must be found in space and quickly. This can happen only through space exploration which will require a lot of money. If we do not do this then our world will be filled with wars and conflicts between people on a latitude on the earth to live in.

In conclusion, we all have dreams and ambitions to fulfill but, whatever we do we should try to think outside the box and be the best in whatever we do. We should avoid being negative in our thoughts and should believe that if we put our minds to something with full dedication then anything is possible. With that spirit and that kind of attitude I think that anything will be possible, and we will be able to achieve whatever our heart desires. That I believe is what will truly define all of us in our future ahead of us.
