Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Residence Affairs Major General Anwar Al-Barjas issued an instructions which enables expatriates with expired residency permits to apply for 3 month extension, local Arabic news paper Al-Anbaa reported.

According to Al-Anba daily, this instruction already came into effect from last Wednesday. Expatriates who's residency expired due to various reasons such as expiry of passport, not enough validity for passport, etc can benefit from this decision and they can apply for 3 month extension through the link https://eres.moi.gov.kw/individual/en/auth/login.

The daily also reported that if the head of the family is outside the country and his wife and children are inside Kuwait, they will be also granted temporary residence according to the prescribed conditions and conditions.

Jignesh Sunday, May 31, 2020 My child''s visa has expired and I am not able to renew it online because the passport does not have sufficient validity. I tried to apply for the temporary extension, but I do not see any option after logging into "https://eres.moi.gov.kw/individual/en/auth/login" I clicked on the renew button, but I am not able to see any option of applying for the temporary extension. Even I have observed that the residency violation fine has started showing up, while checking for a residency violation. If any one has applied for the temporary extension, please let me know the procedure for the same. Thank you.

Farheen Sunday, May 24, 2020 My kids residency was just expired on 20.5.20 and 22.5.20 when I registered in MOH and paid insurance and then registered in MOI to renew the residency it shows relation type 14 instead 22 that is temporary residency which is extended by moi and it is not opening now renew it. But after that, not able to proceed to pay Residence renewal amount though all are green ticked.
