Large number of people gathered at he Holy Family Cathedral in Kuwait City, Our Lady of Arabia Church in Ahmadi and the Saint Therese Church in Salmiya to attend the special Christmas Mass.

To marks the beginning of the world's leading festive season, Houses and streets where the Indian population is large in number like Abbasiya and Salmiya are bedecked with lights and decorations to welcome the festival of Christmas. Christmas Stars and Christmas trees are seen decorated in many flats in Abbasiya, Salmiya and Mangaf.

Christmas is not an official holiday in Kuwait, although some companies give the day off to Christian employees to celebrate with their loved ones, families, friends and community, with joyful carols, food and various fun activities, as long as it does not disturb the peace and harmony with others. Many business houses in these places welcome the Christmas rush by decorating their showroom with lights and Christmas stars. Most of the restaurants offers special Christmas and New Year's Eve gala buffets. To make Christmas celebration more meaningful, various associations are conducting Special programs for Christmas. Christmas Carol team with people dressed up like Santa is a regular seen in Abbasiya and Salmiya during Christmas season every year.
