An Asian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for trying to smuggle gold jewelry in large quantity.
According to local report, while the expatriate was going through the airport security inspection, the security men raised suspicions on the passenger's behavior. Upon a thorough inspection, they found gold jewelry worth 10,000 Kuwaiti Dinars hidden with the passenger.
After checking, the expatriate admitted that he had stolen the jewelry from his sponsor. He was referred to the competent authorities after his sponsor was called.
