Embassy setup #cheer4India photo booth to cheer Indian team at Tokyo Olympics

Embassy of India in Kuwait joined the 'Cheer4India' campaign for the Indian Contingent to support and encourage the sportsperson who will be competing at the Tokyo Games beginning from August 2021 by setting up a selfie point at the Embassy premise.

A photo booth has setup at the Embassy premise, where people can take their photographs and upload them on social media to encourage and cheer the Indian contingent.

"Despite all the difficulties, team India is going to Tokyo with the support of all Indians. Indian Community in Kuwait together with Embassy is supporting and cheer our team in Tokyo," Ambassador Shri Sibi George said. Ambassador appealed all to participate in the campaign to show their support and encourage Indian sportspersons.

The campaign aims at encouraging and boosting the morale of the sportspersons who are participating in the Olympics. The motto of the campaign is to create awareness among the general public of the importance of fitness and sports apart from professionalism. A record 127 Indian athletes from India have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics-21.
