Embassy advises Indians to renew passport in advance to avoid delay

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait advises all Indian nationals to submit their applications for fresh passports well in advance to avoid any delay in obtaining new passports.

"Embassy endeavors to issue new passports at the earliest without any delay. However, certain category of passports require mandatory Police verification necessitating additional processing time including correspondence with local authorities in India", embassy said in a press statement.

The statement advises all to apply for fresh passports two months prior to expiry of validity of their residency in Kuwait or intended date of travel.

I have very bad experience passport Office in Behebhani Building. The front desk guy asking several questions like anything even my picture was good he told me you need to get new picture. I had already applicable there slight mistake of my home town but they asked me fill new for in the same center taking more than 2 hours waiting for my line. I felt very pity of my son who was with me more 4 hours without any food. There is not cooperation with Staff and they treat like anything. This required very attention from senior embassy management.

Please express your words with respect, and as others are also here to have moral values in life. People all over in power around the world need to consider and support the public who are not able to earn to feed their family dependents even in this life.

Passport Office in Behebhani Building are all uneducated Staff and not cooperative, They just want to act smart by rejecting your pictures and try to make more money from you.
WHY GST we are paying in Kuwait Transaction.
WHY POLICE VERIFICATION for SMALL CHILDRENS in KUWAIT where all Family is in KUWAIT.
ALL this processing no one is watching
Ministry of Interior in Delhi is closing eyes and only collecting Money ?

MD you are absolutely correct. The MEA should extend validity from the date of expiry of currently held passport.
Secondly the passport administration office is making money asking to retake photos, make copies, etc, etc.
Those clerical staff accepting/the passports for renewal are doing their jobs just like Robots! Likewise the receptionist at my first visit when asked to check my form looked at it and said if you have photograph on white background is fine, thats all is required. on my next visit to submit the application he told me to change the photographs at thier facility where they charge more than at the local photo studios. - Very Sad.

@MD & Ss
You idiots are renewing passport not phone or internet connection.
There is a reason why rule states that passport can be renewed up to 1 year before the expiry date. Cost of 10 year valid passport is 23 kd. Passport is the only internationally acceptable identity document and you want to take risk for 1 & 2 months??
The purpose of renewing few months in advance even in normal circumstances (in the pre covid-19 world) is to avoid the passport expiring due to unusual delays related to unforeseen circumstances beyond your control.
Another reason why Kuwait govt. should expedite removal of Indian expats - many of whom fit the mental capability displayed in writing below.

Renew the Indian Passport before 2 months when there is time available in advance, but can the date of expiry also be considered to be given validity extension by 2 months from the old expiry date of Passport.
