Minister of Education Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf today chaired a joint committee meeting between the Education Ministry and Health Ministry to discuss the proposal for a gradual opening of schools in the country.
The meeting discussed a proposal for a gradual return to schools plan, and steps to take appropriate decisions in this regard. A plan for this was reviewed by the Ministry of Education.
In the meeting, Minister Al-Mudhaf emphasized Ministry’s keenness, in cooperation with Health authorities to follow all health standards and requirements to guarantee the safety of students, educational and administrative staff and all school personnel.
Today's meeting is the first of its kind for coordination between the Ministries of Health and Education to discuss the issue of the gradual return to schools. A second round of meeting will take place next week to study matters in detail, sources said.
