EAM Dr S Jaishankar spoke to Kuwait FM on fire tragedy

India's External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today called on Kuwait Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya and spoke on the fire tragedy, which happened at a labour camp in Mangaf.

During the talk, Minister was apprised of the efforts made by Kuwaiti authorities in the incident. Kuwait Foreign Minister assured that the incident would be fully investigated and that responsibility will be fixed.

Minister also spoke about the early repatriation of the mortal remains of those who lost their lives.

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh will be arriving Kuwait on Thursday morning to further oversee the assistance to those who are injured in today's fire tragedy and to repatriate the mortal remains of those who lost their lives.

Earlier Indian Ambassador Dr Adarsh Swaika, after visiting the incident site and the injured Indian at all hospitals, had assured all possible help from the Embassy.
