Domestic workers can make Embassy attestation for salary certificate

Steps are being taken to attest the salary certificate for domestic workers by the Embassy of India, Ambassador Sibi George said. He was addressing the community during the Open house on Wednesday, 24th.

He was responding to the community members who bought this to the notice of the Ambassador during the Open house.

Currently various Government schemes for NRIs back home in India, including bank loan etc requires attested salary certificate for NRIs. However for domestic workers, this was not possible. Sponsor can make a salary certificate for his domestic workers and get it attested by Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign affairs. Based on this, Embassy can attest the salary certificate, he said.

This will benefit large number of domestic workers in Kuwait for obtaining various government schemes back home in India for NRIs.
