Demand for travel increases as Kuwait eases arrival procedures

The easing of precautionary measures for those coming from abroad and the availability of a PCR examination upon arrival to end the quarantine, increased the ticket booking among the citizens and residents.

The implementation of the Cabinet’s decision last Monday to cancel the mandatory 72 hours quarantine increased the turnout rates for travel up to 10% by citizens and residents, officials from the Federation of Tourism and Travel Offices said.

Various other factors such as ending all travel restrictions by European countries also contributed an increase in demand for travel by the citizen, officials said.

The list of destinations in demand for travel by citizens and residents includes Turkey and Dubai in addition to demand for Umra trips. Travel offices are expecting a demand to various European destinations in the coming period as they remove all travel restrictions for vaccinated passengers.
