DGCA request increase in airport arrival limit

Directorate General of Civil Aviation once again requested the Council of Ministers to increase the operational capacity of the airport, which currently stands at 10,000 passengers for arrival.

Civil Aviation requested to increase the capacity so that it will reflect positively on the decrease in ticket prices.

With the entry of direct flights from countries like Egypt and India, the ticket prices from these countries are witnessing a huge increase due to the limited quota for arriving passengers.

The airlines operating at Kuwait Airport have exhausted the entire "quota" allocated to them at Kuwait Airport and are unable to announce new destinations in these countries. An increase in arrival limit is expected to reflect the ticket price positively.

In my opinion the Govt can at least allow 25000 to 30000 passengers a day thats about 50 flights to each of the 3 terminals.
It accounts to about 3 to 4 flights an hour landing at each airport. This will allow citizens, residents and visitors to travel up and down frequently. This will activate the local economy and the airline industry. As long as, passengers follow Covid protocols.

The minsters and His Highness also has to think about the poor domestic and low wage workers coming from these countries. With their kind heart they should instruct the authorities concerned to increase the number of daily arraivals into the country atleast 25-35 thousand a day. This will be good for the country''s economy also as many of the sectors are suffering manpower shortage.
