Kuwait Customs seized large quantity of counterfeit international clothes and pens in violation of the intellectual property rights law.
The General Administration of Customs explained in a statement that the operation was within the framework of the directives of the Director of the General Administration, Counselor Jamal Al-Jalawi, to check, inspect and follow up on the incoming consignments to the country to prevent all prohibited materials.
The shipment came from a Gulf country and consisted of cartons of clothes. During the inspection officials seized approximately 5,600 pens and 600 pieces of clothing are all counterfeit of well-known international brands.
