A tip-off about a gathering of illegal workers led Kuwait’s Residence Investigations Department to launch a swift raid in Salmiya, resulting in the arrest of 23 expatriates violating residency laws.
Among those caught were 19 domestic workers (Article 20) and 4 private sector workers (Article 18), all found in breach of their permits. Authorities confirmed that legal action is underway, and the violators will be referred to the concerned authorities.
The Ministry of Interior reiterated its zero-tolerance policy, stressing that both workers and employers involved in violations will face consequences without exception.
