The Committee in charge of monitoring the implementation of health requirements related to confronting the Coronavirus has requested the Ministry of Trade and Industry to cancel the permission for any offers or discount sales at shops and shopping malls, and instead limit these sales and offers to online place only.

This recommendation is in view of the crowd gathering in stores during the sales period with discounts or special offers, said the Director General of Kuwait Municipality, Ahmad Al-Manfuhi, who chaired the meeting.

The committee also discussed with Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs about the measures to be taken in the mosques as the country is approaching the holy month of Ramadan.
