Kuwait is expected to witness severe cold with a chance of ice formation in some areas, especially at desert areas in night, the Meteorological Department said.

The weather forecast observer Abdulaziz Al-Qarawisaid that the country is affected by the extension of the European northwest wind which led to a noticeable decrease in temperatures.

Al-Qarawi stated that the expected maximum temperatures range between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperatures expected between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius.

He explained that by Thursday, severe cold wind is expected, which may cause dust in some areas.

Weather on Thursday evening will be very cold and the minimum temperature may go below zero degrees Celsius over the desert areas.

The cold weather will continue till Saturday, he said.
