Celebrating Independence Day Along with Bharat

India, as we all know, is a vast country brimming with unique cultures and divine heritages. India may sound like a peaceful and special country, but it was not so when India was under the control of the British empire. India did not have an easy time under British rule. It was only after many struggles lead by our proud freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, etc. that we got this so-called independence. India celebrates its independence with a nationwide gazetted holiday and by hoisting parades and dances in every street of India So what all what makes India’s Independence Day so remarkable? Well, let me answer it for you. India’s Independence Day is celebrated on the 15th of August every year to commemorate the end of British rule in 1947 and the establishment of a free and independent Indian nation. This day is also used to commemorate and pay respects to all the great leaders and freedom fighters who have lost their lives while trying to gain freedom for India. On the eve of this day the President delivers a speech to the nation while the Prime Minister hoists the tri-coloured national flag and addresses the nation in the Red Fort. It is an often-busy day with lots of traffic jam on the streets as everyone is eager to celebrate this day with their close friends and relatives. Schools too, both in the nation and in Indian schools abroad host cultural programs and the unfurling of the national flag. India grandly hosts its national celebrations. Foreign guests are welcomed annually to be a part of this spectacular day and to enjoy the parades and dances. The air in New Delhi is filled with beautiful colours from the jets while the streets are brimming with the marches by the national forces and the dances by the talented young stars. It is a day when India shines to its full glory as it reveals all of its heritage, cultures, and religions to the foreign ambassadors and leaders. As the day turns into the night all Indians are pleased to have taken part in the auspicious and patriotic ceremonies. Thus, all the proud Indians go to sleep with just one thought in their mind, ‘Bharat Mattha Ki Jay!!!!’

Thank you and I wish you all a Happy Independence Day!!!!
