Kuwait Ministry of Interior announced that the necessary legal measures were being taken against the driver of the truck that caused parts of the Fifth Ring Bridge to fall and disrupt the traffic.
A case was registered at the Rabieh Police Station.
The incident happened when a truck hit the bridge under construction on fifth ring road near Avenues mall, which led to one of the iron columns falling on a vehicle. It caused a massive traffic jam on the road. Within two hours, they were able to reopen the road, after shifting one of the iron columns that fell from the bridge.
