Bhavan’s Toastmasters Club conducted 200th milestone Meeting and open day

Bhavan’s Toastmasters Club, Kuwait conducted its 200th meeting on Friday, 14th August 2020 from 9 am to 11am through online media Zoom.us. with the theme “Communicate & Conquer Your Fear” The meeting started on schedule, sharp at 9 am Kuwait Time. There were over one hundred participants online from different parts of the globe, from Kuwait, UK, KSA, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, India, Sri Lanka and Philippines. The highlight of the event was the Keynote speech by Distinguished Toastmaster Seema Menon, a well-known Keynote Speaker in UK. 20 plus years of diverse experience in the Television and Radio industry predominantly in Advertising Sales. Pursuing her entrepreneurial venture as a Coach, Mentor and Speaker conducting various Apperceptive programs with Headstride Ltd. Former Region Head of Sales, Sony Pictures Network, UK. Member of Harrovian Speakers Toastmasters Club, UK.

Sergeant – At – Arms Toastmaster Bijo P Babu opened the meeting reading out the club mission and ground rules for the virtual meeting.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 358,000 in more than 16,800 clubs in 143 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

Toastmaster Bijo Babu introduced the Vice President Education Toastmaster Kondal Reddy for his welcome address. With his mellifluous voice VPE welcomed District officials, fellow toastmasters and guests, attending the program from several countries. Among the district officials present were District Director Mohammed Saleem, DTM; Program Quality Director Alifiya Lakdawala, DTM; Club Growth Director Khalid Abdullah, DTM, Immediate Past District Director Wafaa Salman.

Role of Master of Ceremony was played by Toastmaster Beetha Johnson, a sanguine teacher in Ministry of Education and a shining star of BTC. Incorporation of learning from Pathways was clearly evident in her role play.

District 20 Director Mohammed Saleem, DTM joining the meeting from Bahrain delivered his felicitation speech followed by launching the club’s News Letter “Talkmasters” August 2020. Felicitation speeches were also delivered by all District officials.

Area 20 Director, Anil S. Lobo, DTM conducted interactive training session titled “Express your thoughts effectively” demonstrating various techniques of preparing and delivering an effective speech.

Veteran Toastmaster Anilkumar G. Revanker, DTM introduced the ever smiling Keynote speaker Seema Menon. Speech titled ‘Mindfulness and Communicate with Self” received immense response from the audience. Importance of meditation, yoga and how it helps to communicate with self through positive mind and thoughts was presented through a well crafted keynote speech. Q&A session followed the speech; moderated by Emcee TM Beetha Johnson.

BTC's Photography Master, TM Latif Mansoor Ali broadcasted a video of “BTC’s Journey to Success” wherein all past presidents of Bhavans Toastmasters Club delivered their message to the new members and non-toastmasters. They shared their rich experience with BTC and wished the new officers all the success.

Principal of Bhavan’s Smart Indian School, Toastmaster Mahesh Iyer in his address congratulated the new club officers and members of BTC for achieving accolades to the club.

Division E Director Xavier Yesudas, DTM addressed the audience from Kerala, India and showed praises on the club members and club achievements.

Q&A session on Toastmasters membership benefits and Pathways was jointly conducted by DTM Anil S. Lobo and DTM Xavier Yesudas.

Role player recognition was conducted by TM Jiju Ramankulath and Event Chair TM Santhosh Pathrose. The virtual certificates were displayed.

All roles were played by BTC members. Master of Ceremony by TM Beetha Johnson, Co-hosts TM Suguna Ganeshan, TM Prashanth Kavalangad, TM Biju Samuel, Timers were TM Anu Chandran, TM Latif Mansoor Ali, Event Management by TM Manoj Mathew and TM Alwin, Program Management DTM Sunil Thomas, TM, Mahesh Iyer, TM Sheeba Premugh, IT System were controlled by TM Jiju Ramankulath and TM Justin John. PR & Registrations were handled by TM Bijo P Babu, TM Jomy John Stephen and TM Susan Abraham. This HPL project was guided by Anilkumar G. Revanker, DTM, Premugh Bose, DTM, Sunil Thomas, DTM and TM Kondal Reddy.

Finally the Event Chair TM Santhosh Pathrose delivered his vote of thanks.

BTC successful celebrated its 200th milestone meeting and Open House event on virtual platform in presence of a large audience maintaining the supreme quality of an online meeting.
