On the occasion of Children's Day, popular community portal Indiansinkuwait.com under IIK Spectrum, in association with Green Rubber Recycling Co (GRRC) had organized a unique contest for school children. The Inter School "Best out of Waste" Video Contest was organised with the theme of "Recycle, Reuse and Reduce".
This inter-school contest was open to all the students of grade 5th to 12th studying in Indian Schools of Kuwait. Contest was conducted on the IIK Instagram page where a large number of Kids participated by posting videos of their Creativity on waste materials.
Indian School of Excellence Kuwait received the trophy for the best performing school. First prize was for a student from Indian School of Excellence Kuwait.
The prize distribution for the "Best out of Waste" Contest was held in a function at Lemonade International, Kuwait City.
Mansurah Aun Foizen was declared as 1st Prize winner, Sreeya Prineesh and Rithika Sunil Nair were declared as 2nd and 3rd Prize winners respectively for their Creativity. 5 Consolation prizes were also declared for their Creativity. Reema Jafar, Adya Kayala, Josiah Zachariah Eapen, Maanya Bhansali and Rosann Pozholiparambil Binoj were the consolation prize winners.
The 1st Prize winner received Cash Voucher worth 50 KD/- and Gift Hamper, whereas 2nd and 3rd prize winners received Cash Voucher worth 40 KD/- and Cash Voucher worth 25 KD /- along with Gift Hampers respectively from Green Rubber Recycling Co. Five Consolation winners received Gift Hampers each from Green Rubber Recycling Co. Prizes were given to the winners by Mr Jaison Philip of Al Mailem Group
All the winners shared their joy of winning the prizes and appreciated IIK and Green Rubber Recycling Co company for organising such a unique contest for the kids. The contest was sponsored by Green Rubber Recycling Co, the green arm of AlMailem Group. They are the pioneer in introducing waste tire recycling to Kuwait. An ISO-certified company, it is strongly committed to and passionate about environmental sustainability. In GRRC, old tires are recycled and converted into safety rubber flooring solutions for playgrounds, gyms and other applications, thereby giving them a new lease of life.
