Be Sensitive: Life is

We had never imagined at the dawn of the New Year 2020 that we all had to add a chapter in our lives where we would be in a state of Lockdown because of something like a pandemic. In this modern era almost two to four months of our life has been within the confinements of our flat. I guess it is alright for all those who are living with family but what happens to all those who are alone. Have we ever thought how life is treating them?

It took one great actor to make us realize that life is not easy. We see and hear a lot of talk on depression these last few couple of days so much. Anybody and everybody is talking about it. But life is not easy for everybody. Let’s analyze some phases of our life where we want to prove to anybody and everybody that we are excellent.

A student would understand what I am trying to say here. When it is result day and especially of Grade X and XII and the entrance exams, everybody in your circle will call you up and want to know your grades. I always wondered as a mother and a teacher by profession why people are so eager to know the marks. People who have never bothered to check up on you will find the time to search your number and call you to enquire your marks. There are many others who would boast about their child being a topper. So my sincere advice to one and all: Please don’t call anybody and ask about their grades. Don’t share your child’s grades with others if not asked for. Be sensitive to each other and for each other.

The number of people committing suicide is on the increase during this period: no salary, no work, no family .Nobody understands another person’s pain. People just want to be busy with their life and their interests. But have we ever thought about the other person’s feelings and emotional stability. Imagine being alone in a room for months and nobody to share your problems with. It is difficult and some of us can’t handle the pressure.

Life in Kuwait has taught all of us some good lessons. One important lesson we should all know and realize is that if we are here for a purpose, so is the other person. If we are here to earn money and make life better for our family back home, so is the other. We are all fighting a battle with our family here or without our family who happen to be in our mother land.

We need to appreciate each other and remember every work is significant. Don’t wait for a person to give up his life and then post on twitter and instagram about the person. When you do not respect them when they are alive, don’t bother when they are not there to read your posts. Whom are you writing for?

Reach out to at least two people today and tell them All will be well.
