Authority warned social media post on sharing untrue news

The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority warned users of the social networking application about the spread of tweets attributed to government figures. Authority indicated that some of the social media users are publishing fabricated news in order to mislead people.

The authority disclosed it has monitored some electronic applications (such as Facebook Pages and Tweets) which help rumor-mongers create fake tweets and impersonate well known personalities on social media platforms.

The authority affirmed it will take the necessary measures to block these applications, while stressing to social media users the importance of verifying tweets and news before sharing them; and that they should obtain information from government sources.

All people including expatriate Indians need to know information daily in their language of understanding either as readable printed text or as audible voice with video.
As there are many languages in India, many individuals are not able to understand all the languages in which the information is available or to find and search the original source to verify the fact of the information.
Hope people are able to share the correct information, and do not make fame and money, by their fake, hoax messages in such difficult situations when many are unemployed around the nations.
