After successfully completing more than 50 episodes of cookery show in the prestigious Kuwait TV, the state run TV channel for the State of Kuwait by an Indian lady, Sanaa Hamzakutty is now all set to enjoy her special Ramadan edition of dessert recipes “Ramadan Special Sweet @ Sanaa’s Recipes” for the Kuwaiti audience. “A Special Dish, from Sanaa’s Kitchen” is one of the popular show by Sanaa Hamzakutty in KTV channel 2 for the past several months. And with the start of Ramadan, ventured into a new show focusing specially on Ramadan sweet dishes.
Sanaa is a homemaker from India, hailing form Kannur, Kerala state. Her entry to the Cookery show in Kuwait’s prestigious KTV was by co-incident. When a program producer of KTV accidently came to know about her cookery skill, she was invited to present a recipe in a cookery show in KTV representing Indian dishes. Her presentation was well received by the KTV audience and it opened a new avenue for her.
"Sanaa's recipe" had already completed more than 50 episodes in KTV. With all greater reviews by the audience, KTV assigned her new responsibilities with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. Sanaa is doing special cookery show exclusively for Ramadan Sweets for KTV. "In this program we plan to present one dessert recipe for each day of Ramadan, for KTV viewers," Sanaa told IndiansinKuwait .com
"I am self-learned in cooking. Cooking is easier than people think. It can be made more fun, tasty and healthier than eating out. It does not matter how good cook you are, anyone can learn to do it.", Sanaa shared her experience. “Majority of my dishes are prepared out of ingredients which are commonly available in every kitchen. So anyone can try out these dishes without prior planning and special ingredients”, Sanaa said.
Earlier, in 2020 when KTV was doing a program on international cuisines, Sanaa was contacted to present any dish from Indian cuisine. Many nationalities were presenting their own dishes during this program, Sanaa presented her favorite "Gulab Jamun" as an Indian sweet dish. That’s how I began my journey with KTV, Sanaa said.
By cooking for yourself, you have more control over the ingredients, that ensures quality of the meal, Sanaa said.
Sanaa has already published more than 700 recipes covering different cuisines through Sanaa’s Recipe Note Book.
