Ambassador discussed diaspora matter and Engineers issue with Minister

Indian Ambassador Shri Sibi George discussed engineers issues and other diaspora matter with Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Oil HE Dr. Mohammad AbdulLateef AlFares on Monday, September 20th. Ambassador also discussed ways and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, including hydrocarbons, education etc.

The Engineers issue related to the NOC is an ongoing one, and much progress has been made on this issue after Sibi George took charge as the Ambassador. He had several rounds of meeting with relevant authorities to address this issue. Progress has been made to include IT, Fire and Safety etc to be considered as engineers. Many individual cases of Indian engineers has been cleared with constant follow-up by the Indian Embassy.

If the Non NBA NOC issue is not solved during Hon.Amb.Mr.Sibi George period, it wont solve later.
We are expecting the good news in the Engineers Issue ASAP.

While appreciating the work done by His Excellency, the issue of non NBA certified Engineers obtaining NOC from KSE is yet to be resolved.
