ASSP Kuwait Organized 4 Technical Sessions for its Members at Professional Development Conference 2019

As part of American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Kuwait Chapter's 10th HSSE Professional Development Conference and Exhibition, four technical sessions were organized for the benefit of ASSP members on 17th December 2019 at Hotel Regency.

The event started off with the opening address by Mr. Sunil Sadanandan, President of ASSP Kuwait Chapter, welcomed the participants and briefed about the importance of technical sessions. Eng. Fadhel Al Ali, Chairman of ASSP Kuwait Chapter thanked all the participants for the participation and thanked the speakers for their voluntary support for their presentations which helps HSE Professionals to stay updated in their field and enhance their careers. Ms. Diana Stegall, President, ASSP, USA praised the ASSP Kuwait chapter for successfully organizing Professional Development Conference. Mr. Ajay Sachdeva, Vice President, ASSP Region IX (2019-2022) on his keynote address briefed about the Region IX activities. Mr. Vasudevan Narayanan, Director Area 1, ASSP Region IX in his remarks thanked the members for their active participations and briefed about Area 1 activities and plans. Mr. Ashok Garlapati, Director (2020-2023), Board of Certified Professionals (BCSP) explained about the new curriculum for the ASP & CSP aspirants which will be effective from February 2020. Mr. Sampath Reddy, Director, 10th Professional Development Conference of ASSP Kuwait Chapter thanked the organizing committee, core committee & the Dignitaries who came from different parts of the world to make the conference successful. Mr. Mazharuddin shaikh briefed about the recent chapter activities.

The technical sessions began and with the first topic on Risk Management presented by Ms. Diana Stegall, President, ASSP, USA.

The second technical meet on Reflections on Effective Leadership Presented by Mr. Ian Taylor, Chief Executive of NEBOSH.

The third session presented by Thomas Kramer on Is Your Compliant Fall Protection Equipment Reducing Risk

The fourth session taken by Mr. Larry Wilson, CEO & Author, Safestart presented on Defenceless Moments... A different perspective on Serious Injuries

Quiz conducted on the above topics at the end of event and gifts were given to the correctly answered. As a token of appreciation, Core committee of ASSP Kuwait Chapter presented mementos to the speakers. The meeting concluded with Gala dinner sponsored by ASSP Kuwait Chapter.
