A Workshop On Fabercastell Connectors Pen

It was 14th Nov, We all knew it to be Chacha Nehru’s Birthday, which is Celebrated not only as Children’s day in India, but also as Universal Children’s day. I came to know the latter on my visit to a workshop which my mom registered in Indians In Kuwait a week before through Alrai Customer Service at Lulu Hyper Shuwaikh.

You know friends, I hate shopping as I need a long tiresome walk and that too on a Thursday… Little hesitant over the fact, I got ready with our family – a ride to Lulu Hyper market shuwaikh. The programme is scheduled at 6.30pm and we got stuck in the busy traffic. I wasn’t worried.

A swift drive brought us to the terminal infront of Lulu mall. Always the entrance remains crowded with adult people, but on that day many children of all ages were found scattered and carpets of varied colors were being spread along the floor and parents rushing here and there to check their registrations..

I Found myself little excited to see the celebrity invitation, I felt when they kept receiving every kid with care . The stage was small but the people who were on the dias were so friendly welcoming us with smile and others guiding us to the place of function.

Atlast, completed all formalities and got a drawing book and few colored faber castell connector pens. I felt great to hear the announcement from the stage that the programme will start with introduction about Faber castell connector’s pens and then followed by a magic show and Mr. Sasi Krishnan, a famous creative Artist would teach us certain Creative Drawing Techniques. Also they said there would be a drawing competition held and prizes would be provided and free gifts woud be given to all.

Amazing,I got interested in the programme that I started sitting in the place allotted ..

After this Briefing session, we had Mr. Sasi Krishnan, who taught us the creative drawing techniques..Sasi Krishnan sir made us complete the drawing book provided by faber castel with the new techniques called Pointilism, patterning, shading, contours. We enjoyed our drawing very much as we were also questioned upon the drawing and got gifts as we answered them. Some color combinations were also taught to us..

The Most Enjoyable Magic show followed then.He showed us an empty book with white pages made it as b/w color drawing book and the same after magical recitation converted them into colorful picture book. We felt also scared and anxious at every magic he performed. A great show it was and I too participated in the magic which you can see in the photos.

In Midst, we were provided some juice sponsored by Lulu Hypermarket, as our drawing books were taken for evaluation.

At this time, We were educated on the various products of faber castell. The Main Goal of this art academic Workshop is to create exciting demonstration of the wide varied range of drawing techniques with the faber castell products. Their products ranged from Environmental friendly and child safety color pencils, erasers are PVC free, Mathematical drawing instruments, adhesive , waterproof colors, washable markers, sketch , pen of various ranges. Second time, Magic show made up Pop up from our seats. He showed us empty gift boxes and brought our several flowers of different colors, fired a paper which changed into Kuwait dinar, He showed different colored flowers all were very excited to see the magic show.

we tied him and he removed the knots without our vision, milk held in paper cone without dripping etc ..Parents and children enjoyed the show. The evening was spent and it was 8.00 when we saw our watches.

The most awaited hour.. Prize announcement came then.. Few people were called on the dias for prize distribution. They valued the drawing according to the age groups. Good gifts were even provided to parents for answering their questions.

The programme ended with Few free gifts like CD’s on educating about finger printing art for mothers and for fathers they provided free gift of markers, a booklet on products of faber castell etc.

The salient feature of this workshop is that we learnt few techniques, enjoyed magic show and got gifts. All were happy but we were late to return home so we dined in the nearby food stall and returned home happily with our gifts.

A Great day on the eve of children’s day, we had at Faber Castell Workshop. We are due to thank Indians in Kuwait for giving us such oppurtunities to take part in these wonderful programs also to the sponsors who arranged for the educatory sensational shows and to Lulu hypermarket for providing space for organizing such exotic event. Dear Friends.. I shared my experience to make you get few drawing techniques through my photos.. Hope you would enjoy and learn them. Faber Castell made the Programme for the children, by the children and to the children with the programmers help. We appreciate such initiative programmes for children ahead….
