A Great Indian ; My Role Model Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

My mother always used to tell me , “ We don’t have time to experience everything in a short lived life , but we have enough time to listen and learn from other people’s experience . So you should have a role model to inspire and motivate you .”

I was in class 5, I had read a thought:

“All Birds find shelter during a rain. But Eagle avoids rain by flying above the clouds. Problems are common but attitude makes the difference .”

-by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam .

Reading this , I was loaded with inspiration . I wanted to know more about him, I heard from my mom but it was not enough for me ,I googled about him . Despite his modest beginnings he studied well , had dreams to accomplish and also faced many difficulties . I told myself , “ he’s my role model .” .

He dedicated his entire life to the country and its people especially school children. He inspired me in a lot of ways but one thing which inspired me most was his reaction and adaptation to Failure. He never stopped working and dreaming just because of failure instead he worked harder.

Having role models in our life is very important, and having good role models is more important

Firstly , A role model has the ability to shape the views, ideals, and actions of a young person.

Second , Role models help youth to discover how they wish to become in the future.

Lastly ,A role model is someone who does something really well and is worth imitating. Others tend to look up to and admire them. We often select role models who excel in one or more areas of their lives.

Our role models teach us how to live better lives by being highly skilled at something, developing our knowledge, or putting forth more effort as they influence what we do and how we turn out eventually.

The great Indian A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in full Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam . He was the leader with a vision. He as a leader travelled towards unexplored path. He knew how to manage success and most importantly the failures. He as a leader took many courageous decision. His every action was transparent, and he worked with integrity and succeeded with the Integrity.

He was a great human being and model for secular India. He was a global citizen and realistic dreamer. He was an inspiration for youngsters and old alike. He was selfless. He is a model for simplicity. Great men are never great political leaders. He was a gentle giant in his own merits. Leaders of our independent struggle would have easily voted him to carry on as President of India for the second term too.

He was a proud son of India. I have never seen people shedding tears for a president of India when they passed away in the past. People literally cried on hearing the sad news of his demise. Ironically he passed away while addressing young school children, the future our nation. People wish their leaders to be like Dr. Kalam, a great Indian. He made India a strong and united country in the modern days by his efforts on rocket science.

A. P. J." Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. ... He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology.

A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was an aerospace scientist who joined India's defense department after graduating from the Madras Institute of Technology. He was a central figure in the development of the country's nuclear capabilities and was hailed as a national hero after a series of successful tests in 1998 .

More than a leader he was person who lived a life with human morals and ethics. He was one of the few people whom the whole world admired. There are many incidents which reflect his leadership qualities.

Once he said, "When failure occurs, a leader should humbly own it and acknowledge it. When success comes, the leader should again have the humility to give credit to all the people who worked for it.”

He was a man of simplicity and his dedication to his profession, patriotism and his love for children is always an inspiration to every individual. He made every Indian proud. His life will keep encouraging young people like me to have dreams to fulfill .

He had written many inspirational books such as "wings of fire", "India 2020", Ignited Minds" etc. He was a great personality and inspiration to the youngsters of the country. According to him the real assets of a country where its youth and that's why he always had motivated and inspired them to achieve their goal.

Among his many accolades, including honorary doctorates from 40 universities, he was granted the Padma Bhushan (1981), the Padma Vibhushan (1990) and the Bharat Ratna (1997) — India's highest civilian awards — for his contributions in modernizing government defense technology.

He took his last breath at IIM, Meghalaya on 27th of July 2015 because of a sudden cardiac arrest. He was a man who spent all of his life to make the world a better place. He will always remain one of the most excellent human beings that ever lived. His legacy will continue to inspire youth not only in our country but the whole world.
