Kerala Press Club Kuwait Announces Gafur Moodadi Press Photo Award Winner

Saneesh A, Principal News Photographer at The Indian Express, Kochi Bureau, has been awarded the second Gafur Moodadi Memorial Press Photo Award by the Kerala Press Club Kuwait.

The announcement was made recently at the 'Media Conference 2025' event in Kuwait. The declaration took place in the presence of veteran journalist and News Director of Manorama News, Johny Lukose, and Senior News Anchor at Mathrubhumi News, Mathu Saji.

The winning photograph, titled "Seeking solace in solitude," was published on the second page of The New Indian Express's Kochi edition.

The award jury comprised renowned cinematographer and director Alagappan N, prominent Middle Eastern photojournalist Gustavo Ferrari, and photography mentor Bishara Mustafa. Muneer Ahmed provided details about the award during the event.

The prestigious award includes a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, a commendation certificate, and a plaque. The felicitation ceremony will be held in India at a later date.
