Good Shepherds Cultural & Social Welfare Association Hosts a Memorable Event Honoring Goan Heritage

Kuwait, May 2, 2025 – The vibrant spirit of Goa came alive in Kuwait as the Good Shepherds Cultural and Social Welfare Association successfully organized the much-anticipated Goa Day 2025 on Friday, May 2nd. Held amidst a lively and enthusiastic gathering, the event drew large crowds from the Goan and wider Indian community, celebrating the rich culture, traditions, and unity of Goa.

The occasion was graced by Shri. Alexo Redinaldo Lourenco, Honorable MLA of Curtorim Constituency, Goa, who was the Chief Guest of the event. His presence added significant prestige and highlighted the strong bonds between the Goan diaspora in Kuwait and their homeland. In his address, the MLA praised the association’s commitment to preserving Goan heritage abroad and emphasized the importance of cultural identity in global communities.

Adding to the grandeur, the evening featured performances by renowned artists Mark Revlon-Goa,Ester Noronha-Mangalore, Polly, Succoro and Ben Evengelist-UK along with Local Goan and Mangalorean artist in Kuwait creating a colorful tapestry of Goan music, dance, and artistic expression. Traditional Goan folk dances, live band performances, Konkani songs, and a showcase of regional cuisine made the event a vibrant celebration of multicultural talent.

The event was seamlessly anchored by the charismatic MC Mr. Sammy from Goa, whose professionalism and charm kept the audience engaged and the program flowing smoothly from start to finish

The President of the Good Shepherds Cultural and Social Welfare Association expressed heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, saying, “Goa Day 2025 is a testament to our unity, our love for our culture, and the unwavering spirit of the Goan community in Kuwait.”

The event also recognized notable community members for their service and contribution to cultural preservation and welfare activities. Community leaders and dignitaries from various Indian associations in Kuwait also attended, reflecting strong cross-community support.

Goa Day 2025 was not just a celebration of heritage but a reminder of the values of community, solidarity, and pride in one’s roots. The success of this event has further solidified the role of the Good Shepherds Cultural and Social Welfare Association as a pillar of cultural unity for Goans living in Kuwait.
