🌱 The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Kuwait Chapter (ICAIKC) participated in the “Plant 4 Mother” campaign organized by the Embassy of India in Kuwait and UN-Habitat on 3rd May 2025 at Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Natural Reserve.
The initiative, part of the global “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A step for both our Mother and Mother Earth 🌍) movement launched by the Indian Prime Minister Honorable Shri Narendra Modi, on World Environment Day 2024 aims to promote environmental sustainability while honoring mothers.
The event was hosted by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, and was graced by H.E. Hamad Jassim Al-Habashi, Governor of Jahra. Ambassadors and representatives from countries including Lesotho, Romania, Indonesia, Georgia, Turkiye, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and the Vatican were present.
In a heartwarming display of environmental and emotional commitment, ICAIKC proudly supported the “Tree for Every Mother” initiative alongside other professional & cultural associations, planted native saplings with personalized placards dedicated to their mothers.
The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika welcomed all the attendees. The event was graced by the following dignitaries:

Other esteemed organizations such as the Indian Doctors Forum Kuwait, Indian Business & Professional council, and various Indian cultural associations, also joined hands in planting native saplings—Rhanterium epapposum and Vachellia tortilis.
With over 1.4 billion saplings planted worldwide, this campaign continues to unite hearts and communities in the cause of environmental sustainability.
