IVAK Hosts Jimmy George Memorial Volleyball Championship, UIS Dominates Boys’ Categories

The Indian Volleyball Association Kuwait (IVAK) successfully organized the Jimmy George Memorial Overall Volleyball Championship for school students on May 1 and 2, 2025, at United Indian School (UIS), Kuwait. The two-day tournament, held in honor of Indian volleyball legend Jimmy George, brought together young talents from Indian schools across Kuwait, celebrating skill, sportsmanship, and team spirit.

The championship featured Under-14 and Under-19 categories for both boys and girls, with highly competitive matches energizing the courts throughout the event. This annual event, named after the late international star Jimmy George, aims to foster a love for volleyball and motivate students to pursue sporting excellence.

🏐 United Indian School Shines Bright

United Indian School emerged as the overall champions of the tournament, clinching the top positions in both U14 and U19 Boys categories. Their B teams also secured third place in both divisions, showcasing the school’s depth of talent and dedication to volleyball excellence.

Special recognition was extended to Coach Alexander Mathew for his leadership and guidance that propelled the UIS teams to victory. The atmosphere was electric as players demonstrated determination and passion in every match.
