Rhetorics Successfully Hosts Second Public Speaking Championship in Kuwait

Rhetorics Public Speaking Academy, a division of Bright Planet Educational Consultancy company , dedicated to empowering children and teenagers in effective communication, commemorated its 2nd Championship in 2025 with an engaging Public Speaking Competition held on May 2nd 2025 at the Indian English Academy School , New Auditorium in Salmiya. The event attracted a vibrant crowd of 80 attendees, including parents, students, and well-wishers, who gathered to witness the remarkable talent and confidence demonstrated by young speakers.

The championship was divided into four main categories, each designed to suit various age groups and skill levels: Storytelling for children aged 6–7, Prepared Speeches for tweens aged 8–10, Prepared Speeches for teens aged 11 and above, and Impromptu Speaking. Additionally, a special showcase was introduced featuring Sonet & Debate, welcoming participants from mixed age groups. Many participants focused their presentations on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, along with a variety of well-chosen general topics relevant to students' lives today.

Outstanding performances included Master Kavin Sarupriyan , who captivated the audience with his speech on the Democracy in the Teens category, and Miss Venba Sarupriyan, who addressed the Importance of Public Speaking in the Tweens category, securing first place in her division.

In the Storytelling category, Master Marc Kenji captivated the audience with his compelling narrative. Master Arush Chowdary stood out in the Impromptu Speaking segment with his quick thinking and confident delivery. Demonstrating poetic flair, Master Aditya impressed in the Sonet Showcase. The Debate Competition concluded with a strong performance by Master Mohd Saalim and Master Jatin Chowdary Muruvakonda, who emerged as winners, highlighting their persuasive reasoning and teamwork.

M Ms. Amreen Bano served as the Event Logistics Chair, uplifting the team with her energy and unwavering support. In keeping with tradition, Rhetorics Academy's alumni—Mr. Sonith, Mr. Sohan, Mr. Avanish, and Mr. Hemanth—graced the stage as emcees, reflecting the academy’s continued dedication to fostering leadership and confidence in its students.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Raajesh Venugopal, Founder and CEO of Rhetorics, who delivered a heartfelt welcome address. He emphasized the vital role of nurturing public speaking skills in today’s children and shared his vision of making this art accessible to every child in society. Mr. Venugopal also highlighted how public speaking enriches educational journeys and equips students with essential tools for future success.

The Indian English Academy School generously hosted the event, offering a venue that perfectly complemented the high-quality performances and fostered an inspiring atmosphere for all participants.
