
Salmiya Indian Model School, Kuwait, conducted a comprehensive Parent Orientation Programme for Grades 1 to 5, led by the dedicated Kindergarten and Primary teachers. The event aimed to familiarize parents with the school’s academic structure, curriculum, teaching methodologies, and co-scholastic activities for the academic year.
The orientation began with a warm welcome from the Principal of Kindergarten and Primary Ms. Sajitha Menon, who emphasized the school’s commitment to holistic development and the vital role of parent-teacher collaboration in shaping young minds. The session began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by the Kuwait National anthem .
The co ordinators proudly introduced the organisational structure of the School. After the welcome address the Principal introduced the new team of teachers for the academic year 2025-26 to the parents . In the second segment of the Orientation Programme the teachers from from both the Kindergarten and Primary wings shared insights into classroom routines, learning goals, assessment strategies, and the importance of developing foundational skills.
Parents were given a detailed overview of the syllabus, innovative learning practices, digital tools used in classrooms, and the school’s value-based approach to education. Emphasis was placed on promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for students to thrive academically and emotionally.
Interactive Q&A sessions allowed parents to engage with the teachers and clarify their doubts. The programme concluded with a note of gratitude, reiterating the school's open-door policy and its vision of working hand in hand with parents for the success and well-being of every child. The session was a great success, fostering a strong partnership between the school and the parent community.
