The World Forum of Accountants (WOFA) 2025 recently concluded in New Delhi, India, under the theme "Accountability meets Innovation (AI) for a sustainable planet”

WOFA 2025 served as a platform for professionals to discuss the evolving landscape of finance and explore innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

The event featured prominent speakers from various fields, including government officials, industry leaders, and experts in accounting and finance with over 6,000 delegates from more than 40 countries participated, representing international accounting organizations, firms, regulators, economists, and academics.

A good representation from ICAI Kuwait Chapter lead by Chairperson CA Aditya Vikram Dhanuka along with office bearers: Vice Chairperson CA Rohit Agarwal, Secretary CA Venkata Ramana Badida, Treasurer CA Umesh Soni plus other committee members CA Sweta Chipra, CA Suparna Mukherji along with past chapter chairpersons CA Rabin Gonsalves and CA Sriram Gopalakrishnan. CA Neeraj Goel one of the members from the Chapter also participated, total 9 member delegation from the chapter.

For the first time ever a Kuwaiti delegation of 3 members from Kuwait Accountants and Auditors Association (KAAA) attended this prestigious world event which included Mr. Sabah Al Jalawi, Chairman, Kuwait Auditors and Accountants Association, Mr. Mohammad Al Shuaib and Ms. Nagham Alghanim, members of KAAA. Mr. Shuaib was a speaker at WOFA and it was well received by attendees.

This was the highest representation from Kuwait to any ICAI events ever held in the past and our record-breaking delegation made a strong impression, earning special accolades from the ICAI President CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal and Vice president CA Charanjot Singh Nanda.

This delegation on the sidelines also met with Kuwait's Ambassador to India, H.E. Meshal Al Shemali, to discuss strengthening cooperation in finance, accounting, and auditing between Kuwait and India.

This is a testament to the ICAI Kuwait Chapter’s hard work and dedication to support Kuwait economy & businesses.
