On the 26th and 27th days of February, the people of a particular country in the Middle East will host events and celebrations commemorating its National and Liberation days. This country is Kuwait. Weeks in advance, the decorations have been put up in every hidden corner of the land. Tall buildings, roads, even the trees- nothing is skipped when adorning the country in red, green, white, and black lights.
Kuwait has always been an amazing country. Geographically, it is a speck in the vast Middle East, surrounded by ocean and other countries. Its monuments serve as a remembrance of important historical events in Kuwait, and exhibit the culture and beauty of the land. Its museums are magnificent troves of knowledge and information. The beaches in Kuwait are clean, clear, and still. It has several malls and entertainment areas.
Kuwait is also an incredibly safe country. Though it is situated in an area with an acute shortage of naturally occurring freshwater, the problem is solved using other processes to desalinate and clean the water. Kuwait has every resource required to survive, with affordable water and food. It has good roads and beautiful green parks and beaches.
Kuwait has been the background to almost all of my memories. Some of my fondest memories include participating in celebrations of its national events. Children stand on the sides of roads throwing water balloons and shooting water, celebrating the days in their own special ways. I love my second home: Kuwait.
