Kuwait is the land of vivid, golden sand and dazzling water, the reflection of the golden glaring strength of the sun. it is a land of vast deserts and islands with white sandy beaches.
Kuwait is a nation which holds a special place in my heart as an Indian expatriate. It is a nation where the traditional relevance like that of India meet, meets the hustling-bustling modernization of the world. It builds a strong unbreakable bridge between the great Arabian traditions and the thriving modern culture. Kuwait has welcomed and become a second home to millions if not billions of people from across the world with varying backgrounds and cultures. It has become a land of great diversity and opportunities.
A notable aspect about the country is the remarkable hospitality, generosity and the kindness of the people. It makes its expatriates feel at home even after them being thousands of miles away from their own nation. These values of the people are deeply rooted in tradition of the country. They show great respect to their guests and treat them with kindness. The value family, social harmony and the traditions of others and as an expatriate, I have always felt these values to be upheld.
Kuwait is a blend of history, modernity and progress. The resilience of the country was a major factor in their victory in the war. This was a display of the patriotism and respect of the people towards their country. The proud scars worn by the country can still be seen all-across the nation. Within only a few years, the constructions of great structures of Kuwait like the Grand Mosque of Kuwait and Liberation towers shows the modernity and progress of the ever-so evolving country. The seamless co-existence of the past and the present is what makes this country beautiful.
Though the country is known for its shimmering endless deserts, people seem to fail to acknowledge the serene display of the golden-white dazzling, long stretches of beaches along the coastal strip which leaves one gasping for air. The desert itself is a popular spot for camping where the unpolluted, clear, star-filled, celestial sky leaves one starstruck.
