The Centre for India Studies (CIS) delegation visited Sheikha Shaikha Ali Al Jaber Al Sabah at Daratma in Kuwait City to extend their heartfelt congratulations on her being conferred the prestigious Padma Shri award by the Government of India.
During the visit, Shri T R Sanju Raj, President of CIS and Shri R Roopesh, General Secretary of CIS presented an appreciation letter to Sheikha Shaikha in recognition of her contribution to Yoga. Shri Mani Ashadeep, Advisor to CIS presented a book on Yoga to mark the occasion.
The delegation further handed over a letter of appreciation from SVYASA, India’s premier Yoga University, on behalf of its President, Dr. H R Nagendra, acknowledging Sheikha Shaikha's efforts in promoting cultural and wellness initiatives.
The visit highlights the growing cultural ties between India and Kuwait, celebrating contributions to global well-being and heritage.
