The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Kuwait Chapter (ICAIKC) brought together Kuwait’s financial and business community for a dynamic and insightful Continuing Professional Education (CPE) event, "Emerging New Tax Laws in Kuwait." The event attracted a packed audience of professionals, including the special presence of Mr. Mohammad Shuhaib from KAAA, eager to gain insights into the evolving tax landscape and its implications for businesses and compliance.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome by CA Rohit Agrawal, Vice Chairperson of ICAIKC, who highlighted the critical importance of staying abreast of tax reforms to remain competitive in the global market.

He also shared updates on the chapter’s progress, citing the success of chapters 4th Annual International conference and the start-up conference, representation of Chapter at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Kochi Dialogue 2025 and GCC Conference. He further shared info about the upcoming WOFA conference at Delhi and the annual Family day event at Jahra.

He explained the key concepts of the law, including the computation of top-up tax under the Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) rules, exemptions, and safe harbor criteria, while delving into the complexities of managing data points to determine GloBE income.
