
Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2024” Children’s Day painting competition in association with American Tourister has concluded with the grand prize distribution to all winners at a colorful ceremonial function held at Indian Community School, Khaithan on Friday, 10th January 2024. The program was witnessed by Community Leaders, Business Personalities, School Principals, Art Teachers, Parents and Media Representatives. The Painting competition was held on 6th December 2024 the occasion of the birthday of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India.
Mr. Mustafa Al-Mosawi, President, Kuwait Transplant Society and Organ Transplant Center, has inaugurated the function. During the inaugural speech, Mr. Mosawi appreciated all winners for their fabulous painting works, which were displayed at the entrance and appreciated the organizers for conducting such a big programs.
The welcome speech was addressed by Mr. Aneesh Varghese, General Secretary, Kala (Art) Kuwait. Organization President Mr. Sivakumar P. K. Chaired the function. NIRAM-2024 program reporting done by Niram-2024 General Convener Mr. Rakesh P. D and Judging Assessment was briefed by Niram-2024 Judge Mr. Sasi Krishnan. The 20th Anniversary souvenir of “NIRAM“ was released by Mr. Habeeb, American Tourister Marketing head, handing over the first copy to Mrs. Jyothi Sivakumar, Niram 2024 Souvenir Convener.
Indian Community School Chairman Sheikh Abdul Rahman, Goscore Learning Head of Sales Jagak Kishore and NIRAM Coordinator Mukesh V. P spoke while extending their greetings. Kala (Art) Joint Convener Sisita Girish proposed the vote of thanks.
The program was enriched by the presence of the dignitaries on the dais, Dr. Farida, Organ Transplantation Consultant, Niram-2024 Judges Artist Sasi Krishnan, Artist Sunil Kulanada, Artist Hari Chengannur and Artist Mukundan Palanimala, Mr. Harshal, Malabar Gold Marketing Head, Arun Rajagopal, Hyperion Toys, ICSK Khaithan Principal, Mr. Gangader Shirshad, ICSK Jr. Salmiya Principal, Mrs. Sheeja, Kala(Art) Kuwait office bearers Mr. Sunil Kumar & Mr. Johnykumar.
Panel of Judges were honored by Kala (Art) Kuwait in recognition of their laudable contributions in the field of Arts. Kala(Art) Kuwait founding member Mr. Hassan Koya and Mr. Johnny Kumar were honored at the event. Mrs. Aneecha Shyjith and Ms Namita Sivakumar performed the compering. The prizes to all the group winners were presented by the dignitaries.
It is noteworthy that a total of 3085 students from 28 Indian schools in Kuwait have participated in the competition classified into 5 groups and the prizes were distributed among, Five 1st Prizes in to each group, Eight 2nd Prizes, Nine 3rd prizes, 66 Merit Prizes and 247 consolation prizes (Total 335 Prizes). The first place winners of each group received a Gold coin & Gold medal, Second place winner with silver medal and Third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento and certificate. Merit Prize & Consolation Prize winners received Trophy, Certificate. All winners have received Aerican Tourister Sponsored Bag and Hyperion Toys Gift Pack,
Kala (Art) Kuwait has thanked all the participants as well as School Managements, Sponsors, All Indian Associations, Kuwait's English dailies, Web Portals and Malayalam Medias for their wholehearted support to make the event a grand success. Also thanked the Parents and Art Teachers for their cooperation and support and to the management of Aspire Indian International School, Abbasiya.

C. Bhaskaran Memorial Trophy as a tribute to Late. Mr. C Bhaskaran, one of the founder and advisory board member of Kala (Art) Kuwait, won by Indian Community School, Khaitan, the school from which maximum numbers of students were participated in this event.
